1 cup nonfat chicken broth
2 tsp pickling spice tied in cheesecloth
4 lrg potatoes peeled and cubed (3/4")
2 x cloves garlic minced
Instructions:
Instructions: Pour broth into an electric slow cooker, and place the spice bag in the center bottom of the cooker. Add the potatoes and garlic. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours. Garnish with chives.

Tips: potatoes are best when served fresh. To make 4 servings, use small to medium potatoes. If pickling spice isnt available, substitute a bay leaf and a teaspoon of whole peppercorns and whole nutmeg. These may be placed in a mesh tea ball for cooking.

NOTES : Garlic and pickling spices give everyday potatoes a mellow, captivating flavor. Serve as side dish/ Makes 8 servings. Cooker: 3.5 to 4-quart capacity.
