3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup vanilla pudding powder cook & serve, not instant
1/2 tsp cinnamon
6 cup Granny Smith Apples peeled & sliced
3/4 cup cranberries
2 tbl lemon juice Praline Topping
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbl evaporated milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp caramel flavor
Instructions:
Instructions: Combine the brown sugar, pudding, & cinnamon. Add apples, cranberries, and lemon juice: toss to coat. Spoon into the middle of pie crust.

Praline Topping: Melt butter along with brown sugar and milk in a heavy skillet over low heat, stirring frequently. Increase heat and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Stir in vanilla, caramel flavor, and nuts. Pour mixture into a bowl and let stand until slightly thickened; about 10 minutes. Bake at 350 for 65 minutes. Cover last 20 minutes of baking to avoid excessive browning.

Yield: one 9 inch pie.
