Ingredients:

2 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
6 tbl butter, chilled and cubed
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 lrg egg
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions:
Instructions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Mix together buttermilk, egg and vanilla; stir into flour. Add chocolate chips and hazelnuts. Divide dough into 8 pieces; shape into mounds. Bake on a lightly greased baking sheet for 17 to 19 minutes, until lightly browned.
