6 x eggs, beaten
1/2 cup packaged baking mix
2 tbl granulated sugar
1 x 12 cups milk
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
112 tsp ground nutmeg
1 loaf French bread, cut in 1" slices
Vegetable oil
1 x recipe Spiced Butter, see recipe
Instructions:
Instructions: In a large bowl, blend together the eggs, baking mix, sugar, milk, cinnamon, and nutmeg until smooth. Dip the bread slices in the batter until covered but not soaked.

In a large skillet, heat 1 inch of the oil. Add the bread slices and cook until golden brown on both sides. Serve immediately with the Spiced Butter and Gingered Whipped Cream.

YIELD: 4 TO 6 SERVINGS
