Amount Ingredient
12 oz fresh mushrooms - (to 16 oz) coarsely chopped
3 med potatoes - (to 4) cut in 1" pieces
1 lrg carrot - (to 2) cut in 1/4" slices
4 x garlic cloves thinly sliced
1 tsp fresh thyme
1 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp coarsely-ground black pepper
1/2 cup red wine - (may substitute beef broth or water)
1 pkt dry brown gravy mix
1 tbl dried minced onion - (or a small chopped fresh onion)
1 lb beef stew meat
Instructions:
Instructions: Place potatoes, mushrooms, carrots, garlic, salt, pepper, thyme and onion in the crockpot then add the red wine. Toss with gravy mix. Brown the stew meat and soup bone.

Transfer to the crockpot; combine with the other ingredients. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours. Remove meat from the bone before serving.

This recipe yields 4 servings.
