Instructions: 1. Drain the beans and rinse well under cold running water. Drain again. = Coarsely cut up the tomatoes, reserving all the juices. Cut the ham into 1= /4 inch dice.
2. In a nonreactive, medium saucepan combine the beans, tomatoes with their= juices, ham and beef broth. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring = occasionally. Partially cover and simmer for 5 minutes. 3. Squeeze the juice from 1 lime (or 1/2 lemon) into the soup. Cut the rem= aining lime (or 1/2 lemon) into wedges.
