Instructions: Brown meat in oil. Add water, onion, seasonings and tomato paste. Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Stir in potatoes and carrots and simmer 30 minutes.
Add additional water if necessary. Stir in remaining ingredients; cover and simmer 20 minutes. Note: If desired, you can brown the meat with the onions, then dump everything else in at one time and let it simmer as long as it takes for the potatoes and carrots to get tender.
