Instructions: Soak the herring in lots of cold water for 10 to 12 hours or follow the directions on the package. Put each fillet on a piece of aluminum foil or greaseproof paper.
Dot with margarine or butter and sprinkle each fillet with chopped egg and parsley. Fold the paper or foil around the herring and put the parcels in a 200 degrees oven. Bake for about 10 minutes. Instead of dill chopped yellow onion may be used. Email this Recipe:
