Instructions: Use "dough" setting and 1.5 lb loaf. Add raisins before the end of the last kneading.
Hand-Shaping: Place dough on a lightly floured surface. Let dough rest for 5 minutes. Divide dough into thirds. Roll each portion into a 14-inch rope.Place ropes side-by-side on a greased baking sheet. Braid ropes and tuck ends under securely. Cover with a clean cloth. Place in a warm, draft-free spot to rise until doubled in size, about 45 - 60 minutes. Brush braid with egg white. Bake in 375F oven for 25-30 minutes, until deep golden brown. Email this Recipe:
