Instructions: Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Cut in the butter with pastry blender until mixture resembles cornmeal. Add eggs and cream. Mix well. Carefully stir currants into dough. Pat dough down to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with star cutters. Arrange on baking sheet. Bake in 425 degree oven for 10 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with butter or cream cheese.
