2 x ripe Haas avocados (ripe = indents easily with the firm press of a finger)
1/2 cup lightly packed cilantro leaves, finely diced, stems discarded before
measuring
2 tbl freshly squeezed lemon juice
4 x scallions (green onions), finely chopped
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1/4 tsp salt
Instructions:
Instructions: Cut the avocados in half lengthwise, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh out of the skin. Add all the ingredients to a bowl. Blend with a fork until the mixture is just slightly lumpy.

To make flame-like tortilla chips for garnish, cut flour tortillas into flame shapes, then bake on a cookie sheet in a 350 F oven for 5 minutes, or until crisp.
