1 tbl butter
4 tbl brown sugar
3/4 tsp pure vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
Instructions:
Instructions: Combine the milk, butter, 3 tablespoons of the brown sugar, vanilla, and salt in a medium-small saucepan, and place it over medium heat until the mixture is hot to the touch. Dont let it boil. Place the cornstarch in a medium-small bowl. Pour in about half of the warm milk mixture and whisk vigorously until all the cornstarch is dissolved, then pour the solution back into the saucepan and return it to the heat. Let the mixture come almost to a boil, whisking it frequently. Lower the heat to a simmer and cook, whisking often, until it becomes thick and shiny. This will take about 5 minutes. Pour the pudding into a lovely serving bowl and sprinkle the remaining brown sugar over the top. Let it cool to room temperature, then cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate until cold.
