Instructions: Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Divide batter into two 9 x 13 greased cake pans. Bake 15 minutes or until lightly browned in 350 degree oven.
Patsy Says: I freeze these as it makes it easier to put the Twinkies together. Mix flour and milk in saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Cool. With electric mixer beat flour-milk mixture until fluffy; add remaining ingredients, beating until well blended. (This takes approximately 10-15 minutes; mixture should be thick and fluffy). Spread filling on one cake, place other cake on top, pressing them together. Chill in refrigerator (or freezer) for several hours. (They are a lot easier to cut if they are frozen). Cut into rectangles and wrap individually in plastic wrap. Makes 14-16 servings. These go over anytime of the year, not just at Christmas. Email this Recipe:
