Instructions: Combine oats, milk, sugar, salt and vanilla in a pot. Cook over high heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring occasionally, until oats are tender and oatmeal is as thick as you like, about 20 minutes. Serve hot with cinnamon and/or brown sugar to taste.
