3 tbl butter (45ml)
3 tbl oil (45ml)
1 x minced medium onion
1 x minced garlic clove
2/3 cup tomato catsup (160ml)
2/3 cup liquid honey (160ml)
1/4 cup cider vinegar (60ml)
1 tbl Worcestershire sauce (15ml)
1/2 tsp thyme leaves (3ml)
1/2 tsp oregano leaves (3ml)
1/2 tsp basil leaves (3ml)
1/2 tsp paprika (3ml)
1/2 tsp pepper (3ml)
1/2 tsp chili powder (3ml)
1/2 tsp salt (3ml)
1/2 tsp liquid smoke (3ml)
Instructions:
Instructions: Heat the butter with 2 tbsp. (30ml) of oil in a saucepan. Add the onion and garlic and saute until tender.

Add the catsup, honey, vinegar, Worcestershire , seasonings, and smoke flavouring. Simmer until sauce is thick and glossy. Cool.

Brush the salmon with the remaining oil. Grill over medium coals 5 minutes per side, brushing frequently with sauce. Brush one final time before serving.
