Instructions: Slice the tomatoes in half and trim off the stalk ends.
Slice each half into thick wedges. Slice each onion quarter very thinly. Place all the ingredients apart from the cheese oregano and 1 teaspoon of the olive oil in a bowl. Season to taste and toss gently to mix everything and coat it in the oil. Place the slices of Feta on top drizzle the reserved oil on it and sprinkle the oregano all over. You now have an authentic horiatiki. Horiatiki meaning simply peasant style is a salad now synonymous with Greek summer meals usually as a prelude to grilled fish or souvlaki.
