Instructions: I like their Kashi that you cook very much. I cook it, one packet at a time, in my B&D rice steamer with a little less water than they recommend and cook it a bit longer than you would on the stove. I freeze it in small containers (4 to a batch). Some mornings I combine a container of the Kashi, half a packet of flavored Instant Oatmeal (French Vanilla is my favorite), and a cutup banana, and nuke it till hot. It is quick, easy, filling, and tasty. Of course you could add raisins, dates, dried or fresh blueberries, or whatever you feel like. The combinations are endless.
I cut up a cup or so of assorted fresh fruit, top it with 6-8 ounces of ff plain yogurt (I make my own), sprinkle it with cinnamon (I like lots), and top it off with the dry cereal. Depending on the quantities of each, the calories run around 300 - 350 and the fat at about 1 - 2 grams. I also have a bread machine recipe that uses a 7 grain mixture that I bet you could use the Kashi in. Email this Recipe:
