Instructions: Cream butter and cheese together; then add flour, salt, dry mustard and paprika. Mix well. Dough will be stiff. Cover either olive or sausage with about 1 teaspoon of dough. Roll between palms. Bake on cookie sheet at 350F for about 20 minutes or until done. Cool slightly before serving. Can be prepared in advance and cooked before serving.
Options: Use black olives. Roll dough into balls without filling. Use cayenne instead of paprika. NOTES : Childhood memories of these olive balls are enough to make my mouth water. When I rediscovered the recipe, I started making them again as an afternoon snack. Jamie Email this Recipe:
