Ingredients:

3 x onions - (to 4) finely chopped
3 x fresh jalapeno peppers - (to 4) chopped
(or 1 rounded tbspn crushed dried hot red pepper flakes)
8 lrg garlic cloves minced
1 cup strong black coffee
1 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 cup tomato ketchup
1/2 cup dark brown sugar - (firmly packed)
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup Texas-style chilli powder
1 tsp salt
Instructions:
Instructions: Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to very low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Let mixture cool in the pan for 30 minutes at room temperature, then puree in 2 batches in a blender of food processor.

Serve warm or at room temperature, as an accompaniment to barbecued beef or sausage.
