Ingredients:

450 gm apples peeled cored and chopped
450 gm onions peeled and chopped
450 gm ripe tomatoes
450 gm raisins
450 gm sultanas
450 gm brown sugar
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp fresh curry powder
50 gm slat
Instructions:
Instructions: Mix the spices with some of the vinegar.

Put all the ingredients in a large pan stand on the simmering plate and heat stirring until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is boiling. Transfer to the simmering ovenand cook until the vegetables are soft about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

Return to the simmering plate and boil slowly until the mixture is thick and brown.

Pour into warm sterilized jars.

A rich sweet chutney lovely with cheese and cold meats.

Makes about 2.75kg
