Instructions: Mix together all ingredients in a sealable/microwavable container. Can substitute 2 Tbs sugar for equal, cinnamon is approximately 3 shakes, salt is too. If raisins are not used, reduce water to 1/2 cup. Can be mixed a week or more in advance. Heat in a microwave for 30-45 seconds or until hot - cooking not required.
NOTES : Okay, I know your initial reaction was a giggle - who needs a recipe for instant oatmeal, right? Thats what I thought, too, until I gave this a shot. This recipe allows you to mix up a weeks worth of breakfasts, each in a separate, portable, microwaveable container. Now you can eat real oatmeal at a moments notice.
