3/4 cup onion diced
3 tsp minced garlic
3 tbl fat-free low-sodium chicken broth
1/2 lb skinless boneless chicken breast ground
3/4 lb ground veal
3 med egg whites
3/4 cup fat-free marinara sauce bottled
3/4 cup bread crumbs
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp dried basil
3/8 cup Italian parsley chopped
Instructions:
Instructions: Preheat oven to 350F.

Saute the onion and garlic in chicken broth until soft. Remove from heat and cool slightly.

In a large bowl, combine ground meats, sauteed onion and garlic, egg whites, and marinara. Mix in bread crumbs, Parmesan, and herbs thoroughly.

Form mixture into a loaf shape and place in an ungreased 4- by 8-inch loaf pan. Brush with 2 tablespoons of marinara sauce. Bake until cooked through for 40 to 50 minutes. Cool before cutting into 12 slices.
