Instructions: Add can roughly chopped tomatoes with juice, peas with liquid and the water.
Stir and simmer, covered, for about half an hour for tomatoes to break up and flavours to blend. Feel free to change water to stock and to add your favourite fresh herbs. Fifteen minutes before serving, bring to gentle boil, add macaroni and stir thoroughly to stop the macaroni clumping together. Stir constantly while macaroni is cooking. Serve with crusty bread and butter. Two bowls of this very thick soup is enough to stop almost anyone in their tracks! Email this Recipe:
