Instructions: Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Separate eggs. Beat egg whites until very stiff. Add egg yolks and sour cream to butter mixture. Add flavoring and dry in ingredients. Gradually fold in beaten egg whites. Bake in two loaf pans at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Variations: Chocolate - add 2 oz. bitter chocolate and 1/3 cup chocolate syrup Mocha - add 1/3 cup strong coffee and 3 T. Swiss Mocha instant coffee Coconut - add 2 T. coconut flavoring and 1 cup coconut Lemon - add 2 T. lemon extract and 1/3 cup lemon juice Email this Recipe:
