Instructions: Mix together brown sugar, flour, shortening and salt; save one cup of mixture. Add egg to the rest of the mixture. Add sour milk that has baking soda mixed in it. You can now add raisins and nuts. Sprinkle cinnamon and the reserved cup of mixture over topping mixture. Pour in greased 8-inch square pan. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
