FOR THE CRUST ----------------
4 tbl unsalted butter, softened
90 gm cream cheese
1 cup plain flour
----------------- FOR THE FILLING ----------------
2 x eggs
120 gm unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans, (or English walnuts, if you prefer)
2 tbl Kentucky bourbon whiskey
1 pch salt
----------------- FOR THE GARNISH ----------------
1 cup whipping cream
Instructions:
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 170c.

Cream together the butter and cream cheese for the crust. Add the flour and mix well to make a dough. Roll out the dough to a 24cm. circle. Place the unbaked crust into a 20cm. pie pan and trim any overhang. Set aside.

To make the filling, lightly beat the eggs. Add the melted butter, flour, sugar and salt. When beaten smooth, add the chocolate chips and nuts. Stir in the Bourbon last. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 60 minutes, until a knife inserved into the center of the pie comes out clean.

To serve, whip the cream, adding the Bourbon to taste and pipe the cream around the edge of the pie. Alternatively, add a dollop of whipped cream to each slice of pie.
