Instructions: Ok, heres the deal. You can use any lean game meat in place of Venison.
For those that like rabbit and squirrel ( like I do) or if the Venison was from an ol mossy horn buck, soak the meat in whole milk overnight (in the fridge) to take the edge off the gamey taste, rinse and roll in the flour (the meat...not you). Sear the meat using the bacon drippings in a hot skillet and set aside. Cut the veggies into cubes and put into large pot along with the V8 juice. Dissolve bouillon cubes in half a cup of cold water and liquid smoke and add to pot. Season the braised venison with salt and pepper and add to the pot. Cover and cook slowly (stirring occasionally) for a long long time or until you are really hungry and cant wait no more. Serve with biscuits and good friends. Email this Recipe:
