Ingredients:

1 tbl soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp sugar
1 lb rib eye or other tender thick beef cut into
cubes 1" to 1 1/2" in size
1 bn green onions sliced 1" pieces
1/4 pkt rice cake sticks - (1 lb pkg) see * Note,
cut into 1" to 1 1/2" cubes

Instructions: * Note: Rice cake sticks are available at Korean markets.

Combine soy sauce, sesame oil and sugar. Marinate beef in mixture 30 minutes.

Thread beef onto 2 parallel skewers (so that both skewers pierce meat), alternating with green onion pieces, rice cake pieces and mushrooms, if using.

Grill over high heat until meat reaches desired doneness, about 5 to 8 minutes for medium-rare.

This recipe yields 5 to 6 servings.
