Instructions: !!!!!!!!!!!!! This chili is HOT! Reduce the amount of chipotle chile and New Mexico red chile powder if you want to temper the fire.
Heat the oil in a heavy pot or Dutch oven and saute the onion and garlic for 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in the turkey and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Serve this chili with warm flour tortillas and cold beer and follow with a cooling fruit ice or sorbet for dessert. Email this Recipe:
