1 tsp garlic finely chopped
2 tsp fresh ginger finely chopped
2 tbl lemon juice
1/4 cup peanut oil or vegetable oil
1/2 tsp ground turmeric
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/8 tsp cayenne (or to taste)
1 tbl grated onion

24 x cubes lamb lean, approx. 2 lbs
2 med onions cut into large
chunks.
2 x green peppers cut into large
chunks
2 x tomatoes cut into large
Instructions:
Instructions: This is a fairly spicy lamb shish kebab. Serve it with cucumber yogurt sauce.

Serves 4

PROCEDURE

1. Mix all marinade ingredients in a large bowl. Add lamb cubes and marinate for 1 hour.

2. Preheat broiler or light the barbecue.

3. Divide the meat and vegetables evenly into 4 parts, and skewer the pieces on 4 skewers. Place 4 to 5 inches from flame. Grill, turning to cook evenly, for approximately 10 minutes.

NOTES
Serve with rice and cucumber-yogurt sauce (see recipe CUCUMBER-SAUCE(SL) )
