Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
600 gm lean boneless lamb trimmed and cubed
300 ml yoghurt
4 x onions ground to a paste
2 tsp ginger paste
2 tsp garlic paste
5 tbl tomato puree
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
4 tsp sugar
2 tbl distilled vinegar
6 tbl sunflower oil
150 gm dried apacots soaked for 15 minutes and stoned
Instructions:
Instructions: Mix the lamb with all the other ingredients except the oil and apricots.

Reserve for 30 minutes.

Remove the lamb from the marinade

Heat the oil in a heavy pan and add the lamb.

Stir until well browned.

Add the marinade cover and cook for 15 minutes on a low heat adding a little water as necessary.

Add the apncots cover and cook until the meat is done.

Serve hot with any crisp roti or vegetable pulao.

This is a specialiq of the Parsee community and one that is served on many special days.
