1 ct sour cream - (8 oz)
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tbl lemon juice
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly-ground black pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 lrg iceberg lettuce head torn (abt 4 cups)
1 pkt thick bacon slices - (32 oz) cooked, crumbled
6 x plum tomatoes thinly sliced
Instructions:
Instructions: Stir together first 7 ingredients until well blended.

Layer lettuce, bacon, and tomato in a 13- by 9-inch baking dish. Spread mayonnaise mixture evenly over tomato, sealing to edge of dish. Cover and chill salad at least 2 hours.

Sprinkle with croutons, and serve immediately.

This recipe yields 8 servings.

Comments: Another type of lettuce, such as Red Leaf, also would work great in this salad version of the popular sandwich.
