Instructions: In a large saucepan, bring 2 cups water to a boil. Add green beans and potatoes and reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 15 minutes, or until tender. Drain and place in a serving bowl.
Meanwhile, in a small skillet, heat olive oil, butter, lemon juice, basil, thyme, and garlic until butter melts. Cook 2 minutes, or until garlic is soft, stirring constantly. Pour over green beans and potatoes and toss to coat the vegetables. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. This recipe yields 4 servings. Comments: If you dont have fresh thyme, substitute dried thyme, but use only half a teaspoon. Email this Recipe:
