Ingredients:

2 cup Lentils
1/2 qt Water
2 x Onions diced
2 tbl Fat
2 x Carrots diced
1 tbl Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
1 x Bay leaf
Instructions:
Instructions: Wash and drain the lentils. Combine with water; bring to a boil and cook over medium heat 1 hour.

Brown the onions in the fat and add to the lentils with the carrots, salt, pepper and bay leaf. Cook over low heat 2 hours. Discard the bay leaf and rub mixture through a food mill. Return to the saucepan. Add the frankfurters and cook over low heat 10 minutes.

Serves 6 to 8.
