Instructions: Simmer the lentils in water until soft.
Stir in the powder spices salt sugar and citric add. Heat the oil in a small pan and add the mustard seeds. When they pop add the fenugreek and curry leaves. Fry for a minute and pour over the dal. Make the dough by kneading all the ingredients with some water. Roll out thinly and cut into diamond shapes with a sharp knife. Set the lentils to boil and add the dough shapes one at a time. Simmer for 10 minutes. Serve hot gamished with coriander leaves. Eaten with rice it comes from one of the best restaurants in Gujarat. Serves 4 Email this Recipe:
