Instructions: Bring sugar, water, Guiness, margarine, raisins, salt and spices to a boil in a heavy saucepan, simmer for 5 minutes. Allow to cool. Stir dry ingredients together. Mix into cooled mixture. Bake in a lined (with 2 layers of wax paper) large loaf pan at 350F for 1 1/2 hours. Cut in 24 slices. Total calories per slice-185 Fat-1 gram From the Vegetarian Journal
