Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
3 cup uncooked ziti pasta (10 1/2 ounces)
2 tbl olive or vegetable oil
4 med onions -- cut into 1/4 inch slices (2 cups)
1/2 cup beef broth
1/4 cup dry red wine (or additional 1/4 cup broth)
1 tbl chopped fresh basil leaves
OR
1 tsp dried basil leaves
1 tbl chopped fresh oregano leaves
OR
1 tsp dried oregano leaves
Instructions:
Instructions: Cook and drain pasta as directed on package-except omit salt. While pasta is cooking, heat oil in 3-quart nonstick saucepan over medium heat. Cook onions in oil 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender.

Stir in remaining ingredients; cook until hot. Serve over pasta.

Sprinkle with additional oregano if desired.

Yield: 6 servings.
