Instructions: Cover cucumbers with solution #1 and let stand 24 hours, stirring occasionally, then rinse well in water 3 or 4 times. Cover with clear cold water and soak 3 hours. Drain and cover with Solution #2. Let soak overnight. Put entire mixture on and boil 35 minutes or until a dark green color, a little green food color may be added. Put in hot jars and seal or process in water bath a few minutes. Green tomatoes may be used in place of cucumbers.
