Instructions: Place the onion on the cutting board and use the sharp knife to chop the onion into small pieces. Unwrap the cheese slices and tear them into bite-size pieces. Set aside. Cook the macaroni in the saucepan, following the package directions. When the water comes to a boil, add the macaroni and onion so they cook together. Cook about 11 minutes, until the macaroni is done.
Return the warm macaroni/onion mixture to the saucepan after draining. Use a wooden spoon to stir in the cheese, milk and pepper. Put the saucepan on the burner. Turn the burner to medium heat. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted, stirring all the time. Serve with cooked green beans, a roll with jam, a fresh pear and milk. Email this Recipe:
