Instructions: In a saucepan bring water and milk to boiling. Add uncooked rice; cover and cook about 50 minutes or until rice is tender. Grind liver with good grinder; do not drain. Set aside
In a skillet cook the 1/4 pound salt pork or bacon until crisp; remove, drain on paper toweling and crumble; reserve drippings in skillet. To drippings add onion; cook until tender but not brown. Stir together cooked rice mixture, liver, salt pork or bacon pieces, onion, raisins, eggs, corn syrup, salt, marjoram, pepper and cloves. Turn into a greased 8x8x2-inch baking pan. Arrange the 3 slices of salt pork or bacon atop meat mixture. Bake, uncovered, in a 350-degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Makes 6 servings. Email this Recipe:
