Ingredients:

600 gm raw prawns shelled and cleaned
1 tsp chilli powder
1 x tteaspoon turmeric powder
2 tsp coriander powder
4 tbl sunflower oil
4 x cloves
4 x cardamom
12 x black peppercorns
2 lrg onions chopped finely
150 gm fresh fenugreek leaves (discard stems) chopped
Instructions:
Instructions: Drain the prawns and mix with the powder spices and salt.

Heat the oil in a kadai or wok.

Add the whole spices and stir a few times add the onion and stir fry until golden.

Then add the prau ns and cook until they turn pink Drop in the fenugreek and stir well.

Cook on a low heat until the prawns are done.

The dish should be dry but should have a creamy flavour because of the fried onions.

A dry spicy delicacy from the west coast of India.
