Instructions: Dissolve yeast in one cup very warm water with one spoon sugar; add one spoon flour... If it bubbles up, you are in business. Add one very warm cup water with one tablespoon salt. Add 2 more cups water.
Start adding flour, pouring in until you can stir no more. At this point start mixing by hand. Add more flour (about 3or 4 lbs). When it is "right" only experience can tell you this, but you learn fast... put in pans 3/4 full (yes you can let it rise twice but you dont have to) Let rise. When over the top of pans, turn on oven to 425. Turn down to 350 after 15 min. Trust me. I have been making bread for 20 years. Email this Recipe:
