2 cup wholemeal self-raising flour
1 cup wheatgerm
1/10 tsp salt
1/4 cup brown sugar
125 gm mixed fruit
1/4 cup milk
2 tbl malt syrup
Instructions:
Instructions: Combine flour, wheatgerm, salt, sugar and mixed fruit in a large mixing bowl. Place milk in a small saucepan with malt and treacle and warm gently over low heat stirring to blend.

Make a well in center of flour mixture and pour in the warmed liquid. Stir to mix and beat well for 1 minute.

Pour mixture into a greased loaf tin and bake in moderate oven (330F) for 1 1/4 hours.

Serve in slices, plain or buttered.
