Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 F.; mix all dry ingredients together. Cream softened butter with maple syrup, sugar and vanilla. Add applesauce and mix well.

Add to dry ingredients a little at a time. Beat well. Spoon into a buttered cake pan and bake 45 min to 1 hour. Check doneness with a tester.
