Instructions: Mix syrup, lard, eggs, and salt. Sift dry ingredients and add. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoon on to greased cookie sheet.

Bake in a moderate oven until they spring back when lightly touched. Bake at 350-375 degrees.
