Yield:
1
Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
2 lb jumbo shrimp peeled, deveined
1 lrg garlic clove
1 tbl coarse salt
1/2 tsp cayenne
1 tsp paprika
2 tbl olive oil
2 tsp fresh lemon juice
6 x lemons for garnish
----------------- CAJUN SPRINKLE ----------------
4 tbl paprika
2 tbl granulated garlic
1 tbl onion powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tbl thyme
1 tsp oregano
2 tbl sea salt
Instructions:
Instructions: Mince garlic with salt, mix it with cayenne and paprika, then make into a paste with olive oil and lemon juice.

In a bowl, toss the shrimp in the spice mixture and marinate for at least one hour and up to three before using.

Preheat the grill to very high heat and place the shrimp individually or on skewers over the hot fire. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side or until the shrimp have lost their translucency. Remember - do not overcook, as they will become tough.

For the Cajun Sprinkle: Mix and set aside. Just before the shrimp is finished cooking, sprinkle a light dusting of this spice blend over the shrimp. Dont use too much or it will overwhelm the flavor of the shrimp.

Comments: This is a great recipe for doing shrimp on your backyard gas grill. Its also a great way to do lobster tails!
