Yield: 12 to 14 biscuits Prep time: 15 minutes Baking: 10 minutes Heat oven to 450 degrees. Grease a baking sheet. In medium bowl, using pastry blender or 2 knives, cut shortening into flour until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stirring with fork, add enough milk to make a soft dough and until mixture leaves sides of bowl. On lightly floured surface, knead gently just until smooth. Roll out to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with floured 2-inch round cutter. Place biscuits on baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Email this Recipe:
