Ingredients:

MEATBALLS ----------------
2 lb ground round steak
3 lrg eggs
2 slc bread, soaked in water
10 ml garlic, mince
4 tbl parsley, chop fine

2 tbl olive oil
1/2 cup onion, chop fine
1 cup tomato paste
1/4 qt water, hot
1 dsh soda
Instructions:
Instructions: Combine ingredients for meatballs; mix thoroughly. Form into balls the size of walnuts. Heat olive oil in heavy skillet. Brown meat balls, and remove.

Combine onion, tomato paste, water, soda, and bay leaf in the skillet with the oil and meat drippings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Simmer for five minutes.

Add the meat balls, continue to simmer for 45 minutes.
