6 x eggs
1/2 stk butter
2 cup sugar
3/4 cup buttermilk
1 tsp baking soda
2 cup blackberry jam
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup raisins
3 cup flour
1 pch salt
----------------- Frosting ----------------
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1 cup coconut flakes
3 x egg yolks beaten
1 stk butter
Instructions:
Instructions: Mix eggs, sugar and butter together. Sift flour and salt into another bowl. In a third bowl, mix baking soda and buttermilk. Add flour mixture and buttermilk mixture alternately to the egg mixture. Mix this thoroughly by hand; do not use electric mixer. Add jam and mix. Add nuts and raisins until mixed. Pour into greased and floured cake pan. I use a bundt or angel food cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees until toothpick comes out clean, around 20 minutes. Let cool, then turn out on serving plate.

To make frosting, mix the butter in a saucepan. Add milk, sugar and egg yolks. Cook until it comes to a boil or thickens to desired consistency. Add nuts and coconut flakes and mix. Remove from heat and frost cake.
