1 x pie crust 9"
1 cup sugar
4 tbl butter or margarine softened
4 x eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup dark corn syrup
Instructions:
Instructions: Place pie crust in pie pan and make a decorative edge. Set it aside.

Put all ingredients in a large bowl except for pecans, and blend with an electric mixer. When you have a smooth mixture, add the pecan halves and pour into the pie shell. The nuts will float to the top. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes and then for 30 minutes more at 300 degrees. The center of the pie may still appear to quiver a bit when moved, though not much. It will firm up in cooling. The pie may be served with very slightly sweetened whipped cream.
